Skilly-do selected as a 2019 NC IDEA SEED Grant Semi-Finalist

Skilly-do’s been selected as a 2019 NC IDEA SEED Grant Semi-finalist!

We're honored to be recognized by NC IDEA as an “innovative startup with a proven concept.” Skilly-do is one of 23 chosen from 182 competitive applications, spanning many industries and stages of development from companies across North Carolina. NC IDEA SEED offers early stage companies the critical funding they need to scale faster. Read on to learn more about NC IDEA SEED grant and how NC IDEA supports North Carolina’s emerging economy:

“We had a difficult task in narrowing down the competitive field of demographically and geographically diverse applicants, but look forward to learning more about the group moving forward in the next phase of the process,” said Thom Ruhe, President and CEO of NC IDEA.

The semi-finalists have been invited to submit a full proposal with greater details by early October. Finalists will then be selected to present before a review panel comprised of experienced investors, industry experts and entrepreneurs. Grant recipients will be announced in mid-November. The $50,000 grants are intended to support business activities that validate target markets, reduce risk associated with early stage companies and help companies get to the point of suitability for growth; whether through investment or revenue.
